Located only a short drive out of Belfast in Downpatrick, Tullyveery House is a family-owned Georgian estate that is the perfect setting for your wedding photos to leave an amazing impression.
One of the main advantages that Tullyveery House has is that all the lovely areas for an elegant wedding are located within the estate. Tullyveery House offers timeless elegance with its choice of romantic private gardens for each couple to tell their love story.
Kimberley and John had contacted me and told me they wanted me to photograph their wedding. I had known the groom John from a previous life when we where both Art students at College. When they told me where their wedding was taking place I was so happy to be their wedding photographer. We talked through all the lovely areas at Tullyveery and how magical it will all look in their collection of images. Kimberly had been working at the venue as well which was great to hear as she had been planning her wedding photography from a long time ago.
On the morning of their wedding, I made my way to Kimberley’s home in Downpatrick. It was a gorgeous morning for a drive and with views of the Mourne Mountains along the way, you can’t go wrong for scenery. Kimberley’s family gave me such a warm welcome when I arrived and they where all full of craic. I captured all of my morning preparation photos and made my way to Tullyveery House to meet up with John.
After a few photos with John and his best man, the stage was now set, it was time for the wedding. Kimberley and John were married in the Courtyard at Tullyveery House. Their elegant ceremony went flowed so smoothly and soon they were saying their “I do’s” to each other.
As previously mentioned, Kimberley and I knew exactly where to go for all the beautiful areas for their portrait photography. The great thing about Tullveery House is that you have so much variety all in the one area. The romantic swing, The Georgian house, the selection of secret gardens. Say no more!
It didn’t take long at all to make our way around these areas and before we knew it we were back in the courtyard where Kimberley and John could relax and speak to their wedding guests.
After a bite to eat I took the couple out again for a few photos at sunset in the field beside the venue. This was the icing on the cake after a magical wedding. The newlyweds went off into the night and danced the night away. What a day!
